Dovre Canada is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Process Safety Engineer in St. John's, NL
Function
- Review equipment and verify safety critical designation against SEC criteria
- Support response to Technical Queries regarding process safety and safety Critical Equipment
- Review and Revise Safety Critical and Performance Standard documentation, ensuring target deliverables are met.
- Action closure of gaps identified against new OHS Regulations
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering and Professional Engineering designation or career experience equivalent
- Minimum 5 years related experience in the petro-chemical/ oil and gas business with desired experience in fixed and floating production systems, topsides facilities and offshore operations support
- Demonstrated knowledge of Safety and Environmentally Critical Elements
- Ability to facilitate Process Hazard Assessments (PHA's) is considered an asset
- Basic understanding of production system processes
- Knowledge and experience in Environmental, safety and loss prevention process and practices
- Knowledge of Newfoundland Offshore Regulatory environment
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
- Written communications clarity;
- Work prioritization skills;
- Computer skills รข€" MS Office.
- Experience with SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System
