January 12, 2022CLERK STENOGRAPHER III (BAND LEVEL 4)Office of the RegistrarMarine Institute (Permanent Position)DUTIESReporting to the Registrar of the Marine Institute, the successful applicant will provide secretarial and administrative support requiring initiative and judgement. Duties include preparing for annual graduation which includes assisting with graduation audits, updating the website, sending correspondence to students, preparing the graduation booklet, and answering enquiries; preparing agendas, minutes, schedules, and reports for Academic Council and all standing committees; screening, answering, and directing mail and telephone enquiries; arranging meetings and maintaining appointment schedules; preparing enrolment letters for students; preparing Transport Canada Certificates; answering routine enquiries from the general public and various external agencies; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in responsible clerical and secretarial work; graduation from a two-year secretarial science or office administration program; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Proficiency in MicroSoft Word and Excel, shorthand, and general office procedures is required. Knowledge of the Marine Institute, its programs, services, and clients are assets. Compliance with Memorial's Procedure for Vaccination Requirement (COVID – 19) is a condition of employment.
SALARY:
$38,482 to $53,964 per annum (NAPE Local 7850)CLOSING DATE: January 26, 2022
