Introduction

Dovre Canada is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Cargo Agent in St, John's, NL

Function

• Ensure adherence to Transport Canada Regulations;
• Respond to cargo inquires;
• Provide freight quotes;
• Accept freight; issuing waybills and handling cargo;
• Provide internal and external customer support;
• General accounting and completion of daily sales reports;
• Process cargo for shipping based on customer needs;
• Perform general office duties as required;
• Operate forklift (may not be required)
• Perform warehouse duties
• Loading and unloading of aircraft
• Other duties as assigned.
• Operate a delivery van (may not be required)

Requirements

• Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products;
• Basic accounting knowledge;
• Ability to perform duties related to cash sales and POS system;
• Previous experience in customer service would be an asset;
• Ability to lift weight handling up to 50 lbs.;
• Excellent communication and organization skills;
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
• Class 5 license ( may not be required but own transportation to work is preferred
